Natural Rubber(NR), EPDM, Chloroprene Rubber(CR), Fluorine Rubber(FKM), ect. are the most common rubber material used in rubber expansion joint producing. And their functions are as follows:
Natural Rubber(NR): good elasticity, shock absorption and noise reduction, mainly applied in outlet and inlet of pipeline and valve for connecting pipes,also allowing small amount of deflection, telescopic displacement;
EPDM: anti acid and alkali, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, used in chemical plant, zinc plant, paper mills, steel mills, and other place of high standard requirements.
Chloroprene Rubber(CR): corrosion prevention, anti oxidation, UV resistance and oil resistance, more used in the severe external environment;
Fluorine Rubber(FKM): stronger corrosion resistance, stronger oxidation resistance, but with high cost, need to be customized.
